PDF Solutions (NASDAQ:PDFS) Reaches New 52-Week Low – Should You Sell?A 67-year-old California woman who once warned others about the dangers of a Keanu Reeves romance scam has now become a victim herself, leading to her becoming homeless after losing thousands. Katherine Goodson's story began in 2022 when she was initially tricked by an individual posing as Reeves, KNSD-TV reported. Goodson explained how she was convinced to send a $500 gift card to the fake Reeves to prove she wasn't interested in his money. She realized it was a scam and blocked him. After posting a warning about it, another profile reached out to Goodson pretending to be Reeves. They claimed they were attempting to console her about the previous scam attempt. The woman fell for it and eventually felt the two were in love. "He wanted to marry me," Goodson said. She is now homeless, living in her car in Vista, California. She shared her story publicly to raise awareness of these scams. "Unfortunately, I wasn't maybe listening to the warning signs," Goodson said. "I don't blame anyone but myself." She ended up sending Bitcoin, gift cards and wire transfers to the imposter over a period of two years, believing she was helping Reeves with supposed financial issues. "I was lonely," Goodson admits Despite the ongoing deception, she continues to try to make sense of her choices and urges others not to fall for similar scams. Originally published by Latin Times

As Nigerians join the rest of the world to celebrate Christmas, the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr Ola Olukoyede, has expressed hopes of a greater and better Nigeria shorn of economic and financial crimes and other acts of corruption. Olukoyede stated this in Abuja today while congratulating Christians as they mark the birth of Jesus Christ. The EFCC’s boss stressed that the light, joy, hope, truth, and liberty that Christ brought to the world are significant drives towards zero tolerance for corruption and reform-minded pursuits. “I deeply believe in the prospects of our nation for growth and development. The Christmas season is an opportunity to activate these possibilities. “The values of light, joy, hope, truth, and liberty that Christ brought to the whole world are significant pathways to integrity and zero tolerance for corruption. We can make Nigeria greater if we embrace these values,” he was quoted to have said by the commission’s spokesman, Dele Oyewale, in a release made available to Tribune Online in Abuja today. Olukoyede expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for demonstrating stronger political will in favour of anti-graft efforts, pointing out that the achievements of the EFCC in the last one and a half years are a direct outcome of the President’s courageous and inspirational leadership. According to him, “Nigerians can see clearly that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is bent on tackling corrupt practices in our midst. The strides of the EFCC could not have been possible without his active support and courage. We appreciate this at all times.” The chairman further extended his appreciation to the judiciary, stressing that the “professionalism, commitment, integrity, and courage of our justices and judges are greatly building strength for the EFCC in its anti-corruption works.” He, however, charged the judiciary to continue on its path of redemption and equity. The EFCC boss then applauded the media, civil society groups and other critical stakeholders for their fervour and robust engagement with the Commission, assuring that with their collaboration, greater strides would be made in the coming year Lastly, the anti-graft czar wishes Nigerians Merry Christmas and a fruitful 2025. ZAGREB, Croatia (AP) — Croatia’s incumbent President Zoran Milanovic won most of the votes in the first round of a presidential election on Sunday, but must face a runoff against a ruling party candidate to secure another five-year term. With nearly all of the votes counted, left-leaning Milanovic won 49% while his main challenger Dragan Primorac, a candidate of the ruling conservative HDZ party, trailed far behind with 19%. Pre-election polls had predicted that the two would face off in the second round on Jan. 12, as none of the eight presidential election contenders were projected to get more than 50% of the vote. Milanovic thanked his supporters but warned “this was just a first run.” “Let’s not be triumphant, let’s be realistic, firmly on the ground,” he said. “We must fight all over again. It’s not over till it’s over.” Milanovic is an outspoken critic of Western military support for Ukraine in its war against Russia. He is often compared to Donald Trump for his combative style of communication with political opponents. The most popular politician in Croatia, 58-year-old Milanović has served as prime minister in the past. Populist in style, he has been a fierce critic of current Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and continuous sparring between the two has lately marked Croatia’s political scene. Plenković, the prime minister, has sought to portray the vote as one about Croatia’s future in the EU and NATO. He has labeled Milanović “pro-Russian” and a threat to Croatia’s international standing. “The difference between him and Milanović is quite simple: Milanović is leading us East, Primorac is leading us West,” he said. Though the presidency is largely ceremonial in Croatia, an elected president holds political authority and acts as the supreme military commander. Milanović has criticized the NATO and European Union support for Ukraine and has often insisted that Croatia should not take sides. He has said Croatia should stay away from global disputes, though it is a member of both NATO and the EU. Milanović has also blocked Croatia’s participation in a NATO-led training mission for Ukraine, declaring that “no Croatian soldier will take part in somebody else’s war.” His main rival in the election, Primorac, has stated that “Croatia’s place is in the West, not the East.” His presidency bid, however, has been marred by a high-level corruption case that landed Croatia’s health minister in jail last month and featured prominently in pre-election debates. During the election campaign, Primorac has sought to portray himself as a unifier and Milanović as divisive. Primorac was upbeat despite such a big defeat in the first round. “I know the difference (in votes) at first sight seems very big,” said Primorac, who insisted that the center-right votes had split among too many conservative candidates. “Now we have a great opportunity to face each other one on one and show who stands for what,” he said. Sunday’s presidential election is Croatia’s third vote this year, following a parliamentary election in April and the European Parliament balloting in June.

This file has been updated to correctly identify Reus' status as a World Cup winner. MLS Cup is here, with the LA Galaxy and New York Red Bulls meeting up as this season's championship game. It pairs a major favorite with an underdog no one expected to get this far. The Galaxy surprised few by advancing through the Western Conference to claim a spot at MLS Cup. A front-office makeover last winter was followed by two major signings, with attackers Joseph Paintsil and Gabriel Pec uniting with playmaker Riqui Puig to spark LA's return to major contender status. That said, Puig will miss the final after suffering a major knee injury in last week's semifinal win over the Seattle Sounders , giving head coach Greg Vanney a difficult problem to solve. On the other hand, the Red Bulls are the surprise package. The No. 7 seed in the East, most figured RBNY would — for the fifth straight season — crash out of the playoffs early, particularly after a 1W-3D-5L finish to the regular season. A shock upset of the Columbus Crew changed the calculus, and the combative Red Bulls have scratched and clawed their way to MLS Cup through grit and ferocious defending. With Emil Forsberg and Lewis Morgan capable of deciding a game in a single moment, it's a formula that could finally see an MLS original lift MLS Cup. Here's what you need to know about the 2024 MLS Cup final between the LA Galaxy and New York Red Bulls: MLS Cup: LA Galaxy projected starters The biggest news item by far surrounding MLS Cup concerns a player who won't be able to participate. Riqui Puig, arguably the best playmaker in MLS not named Lionel Messi, will miss the final after tearing his ACL in the Western Conference final. Puig remarkably suffered the injury in the second half and played on, registering the game-winning assist in a 1-0 win over the Seattle Sounders in the 85th minute before leaving the match. The Galaxy will have to change their approach somewhat without Puig, who has no true analog anywhere within MLS (much less on LA's roster). Most likely, they'll select the energetic Mark Delgado, leaning on former German national team midfielder Marco Reus to pick up more of the creative slack. If head coach Greg Vanney opts for a more combative, mobile team, he could drop Reus and deploy both Delgado and Gastón Brugman to either side of defensive midfielder Edwin Cerrillo. Galaxy (4-3-3 formation, right to left): John McCarthy; Miki Yamane, Carlos Garcés, Maya Yoshida, John Nelson; Marco Reus, Edwin Cerrillo, Mark Delgado; Gabriel Pec, Dejan Joveljić, Joseph Paintsil MLS Cup: New York Red Bulls projected starters The main stress point for the Red Bulls is pretty straightforward: midfield engine Felipe Carballo missed the Eastern Conference final with a foot injury that remains a question mark. The Uruguay national team midfielder was critical in the prior round, scoring the opening goal in a 2-0 win over arch-rival New York City FC, and figures to start if he can give even 60 minutes. However, Peter Stroud stepped in confidently as the Red Bulls won a 1-0 rock fight over Orlando City to claim a place at MLS Cup, and the 22-year-old seems certain to step in if Carballo isn't cleared to start. Red Bulls (3-4-1-2 formation, right to left): Carlos Coronel; Dylan Nealis, Andres Reyés, Sean Nealis; Cameron Harper, Daniel Edelman, Felipe Carballo, John Tolkin; Emil Forsberg; Dante Vanzeir, Lewis Morgan LA Galaxy vs. New York Red Bulls: MLS playoff history This year's MLS Cup final is a classic favorite vs. underdog clash, both in terms of 2024 performance and in historical success. The LA Galaxy have won MLS Cup five times, more than any other team, and though they trail D.C. United in terms of major trophies (D.C. has 13, the Galaxy 12), LA has inarguably been the most consistently strong team in MLS. The Galaxy have now been to the championship game 10 times over the years; no other club has gone to MLS Cup more than five times. For the Red Bulls, things are quite different. Though the club has made the playoffs a remarkable 25 of 29 times (including each of the last 15 seasons), postseason agony is the norm. RBNY had been knocked out in the first round of the playoffs in each of the last five years before this surprise run through the Eastern Conference, and has just one MLS Cup appearance ever. What TV channel is MLS Cup game on? The MLS Cup final between the Galaxy and Red Bulls will be broadcast nationally in the United States on Fox, and Fox Deportes will carry Spanish-language coverage. In Canada, the match will be broadcast on TSN (English) and RDS (French). How to stream MLS Cup: LA Galaxy vs. New York Red Bulls You can stream the LA Galaxy vs. New York Red Bulls MLS Cup final on Apple TV with MLS Season Pass, and on Fubo . Threat to dollar's role amid distrustVan Nistelrooy has replaced Steve Cooper at the King Power Stadium and saw Jamie Vardy open the scoring after just 98 seconds. Bilal El Khannouss and Patson Daka added goals after the break to ensure the Dutchman started with three points in style. His task is to keep the Foxes in the Premier League this season and after ending a five-game winless run they moved up to 15th, four points clear of the relegation zone. West Ham’s hierarchy will have seen what impact a managerial change can have as the jury remains out on Lopetegui, with away fans making their feelings clear by chanting “You’re getting sacked in the morning”. Niclas Fullkrug scored a consolation goal at the death but it counted for nothing and forthcoming games against Wolves, Bournemouth, Brighton and Southampton could determine the Spaniard’s future. When Van Nistelrooy went to bed last night, even he would not have dreamt of his side starting as well as they did as they went ahead with less than two minutes on the clock. One of the Dutchman’s first conversations following his appointment was to take Vardy to task for breaking his record for scoring in the most consecutive Premier League games nine years ago. And the veteran striker rolled back to the years as, living on the shoulder of the West Ham defence, he raced clear from El Khannouss’ through-ball and slotted into the corner. The linesman’s flag immediately went up but a lengthy VAR review ruled Vardy had timed his run perfectly and the goal stood. Vardy could have added a second from a similar move but this time Lukasz Fabianski denied him. The Dutchman quickly learned about the frailties of his side as West Ham created a raft of chances in search of an equaliser. Jarrod Bowen forced Mads Hermansen into a stretching save when he cut in from the right before Ings’ header crashed into the post and Max Kilman slipped at the crucial point from the rebound. Bowen, a constant threat, sent a ball across face of goal which evaded everyone before the England international was denied by a reflex save from the busy Hermansen. The Danish goalkeeper needed to be alert to tip over Mohammed Kudus’ deflected effort early in the second half before he was saved by the referee’s whistle after after his attempted punch went into his own goal, Tomas Soucek the man penalised. Leicester remained a threat on the counter-attack and that is how they doubled their lead just after the hour. Kasey McAteer was set clear down the left and his ball inside was perfect for El Khannouss to find the bottom corner from 15 yards. It was almost three as Fabianski produced an acrobatic save from Wilfred Ndidi’s header before Leicester needed a heroic piece of defending to keep their 2-0 lead intact. Crysencio Summerville bundled the ball goalwards and it was heading over the line until Conor Coady adjusted his feet and poked it clear. The Foxes, who also had a goal from substitute Bobby De Cordova-Reid chalked off by VAR, wrapped things up in the 90th minute when Daka broke clear and emphatically converted into the roof of the net. West Ham did get on the scoresheet when Fullkrug headed a corner home, but the game was already done.11 Of The Most Anticipated Gadgets Expected To Release In 2025

NEW YORK, Dec. 03, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Results from the 2024 Travelers Risk Index highlight a concerning increase in distracted driving, with many risky behaviors surpassing pre-pandemic levels. Recently, Jessica Kearney and Ginny Brzezinski from the Travelers Institute, along with Ryan McMahon from Cambridge Mobile Telematics, partnered with D S Simon Media on a nationwide satellite media tour to discuss the dangers of distracted driving, tips to navigate the holidays, and the growing use of telematics to offer solutions. Millions of Americans will be hitting the road this holiday season, and with that comes a rise in distracted driving. While traffic fatalities decreased by 4% last year to 44,450, distracted driving remains a growing issue. According to the 2024 Travelers Risk Index, 78% of consumers believe distracted driving is worse now than a few years ago, with many drivers admitting to risky behaviors: close to 60% are reading texts or emails while driving; 26% are updating or checking social media; and 24% are taking photos or videos. Young drivers, particularly Gen Z, are especially at risk. Compared to overall averages, drivers ages 16-20 engage in some hazardous driving behaviors more frequently, like texting/emailing, scrolling and GPS navigation. Additionally, 41% of parents surveyed said they don’t feel like distracted driving is emphasized enough in drivers ed, so they are taking matters into their own hands. Here are some important tips to help prevent distracted driving: Activate the “Do Not Disturb” feature on your phone to block notifications while driving. Before starting your trip, program your GPS and review the route to avoid distractions while on the road. Consider signing up for a telematics program to promote safe driving habits beyond the holiday season. Finally, don't hesitate to speak up if you see a friend or loved one driving distracted—encourage them to focus on the road. If you're on the phone with someone who's driving, ask them to call you back once they've safely reached their destination. Telematics technology is playing a key role in promoting safer driving by collecting data from connected vehicles, IoT devices, and smartphones. It tracks behaviors such as speeding, hard braking, and distraction, and provides users with feedback to help improve their driving habits. By monitoring performance and encouraging safer choices, telematics helps drivers adopt better habits beyond the holiday season.
